YOUR DATA
Privacy & feedback.
CS2 Companion is an independent app. Steam handles sign-in; the app does not collect your Steam password. Your saved Squad and loadout selections use the existing Armory service at cs.spiffy.dev.
On-device Steam connection
The experimental friends connection keeps Steam's browser session on your device. Full friends and device-read inventory lists are not uploaded to this feedback service. Adding a Squad member sends that SteamID to Armory, and 3D inspection sends the selected item's descriptor or certificate to Armory's renderer.
Feedback is your choice
Nothing is sent until you tap Send feedback. Reports contain the category, your message, the app version, and any contact information or screenshots you choose to include. Screenshots are resized and exported as JPEG without their original photo metadata.
Optional diagnostics include device and OS information, theme, basic app state, operation counts, and recent app-specific diagnostic logs. They exclude Steam cookies, passwords, access tokens, inventory contents, Steam IDs, and your Squad members. Review screenshots and your message for anything you do not want to share.
Storage and access
Feedback and attachments are stored on the developer's server and are available through a restricted admin inbox secured by the developer’s single registered passkey. A notification is also delivered privately to the developer through Resend. It includes the message, category, optional contact, app/device/OS version, and a list of included diagnostic components and screenshot filenames. Raw diagnostic logs and screenshot files remain in the admin inbox. Reports are retained while needed to investigate and improve the app. Contact is optional; if you provide a way to reach you, the developer may use it to discuss your report. To request removal, send feedback with the report ID and a contact method.
The service uses a short-lived, in-memory hash of the requesting IP address to limit abuse. Feedback does not store that IP address. Infrastructure providers may process normal connection data to deliver and protect the service.
No advertising trackers
This website includes no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Theme preferences and feedback drafts remain on your device. Steam's own pages are governed by Valve's privacy policy.
